As a Consultant Category Management at The Category & Trade Company, you help our clients not just keep up — but lead the future of retail.
With your experience, you elevate categories, processes and teams to the next level. You make tangible impact — visible on the shelves, in brand strategies and in the choices of millions of consumers.
Here’s what you’ll do
- Develop and optimise category plans and visions
- Translate data and market insights (Nielsen, IRI, GfK) into tangible growth opportunities
- Advise clients on positioning, assortment and shopper behaviour
- Build bridges between internal teams and external partners
- Challenge clients to think further — and lead the change
You’ll have the freedom to shape your own projects and area of expertise.
Who you are
- You already have experience in category management and are ready to apply that knowledge on a broader scale — with more strategic responsibility and greater influence.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with 4–8 years of experience in category management within retail or FMCG
- Experience on the supplier side is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for commercial opportunities
- Communicative, persuasive and decisive
- Solid understanding of retail processes and shopper behaviour
- Available 32–40 hours per week and willing to travel to various clients across the country
